Jude is the golden retriever plush that served as the official zero‑gravity indicator on SpaceX’s Inspiration4 — the first all‑civilian orbital flight, launched September 15, 2021.
Named for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Jude is a soft 15" realistic golden in a custom white spacesuit with silver accents and the hospital logo — modeled after facility dogs Puggle and Huckleberry.
Crew member Hayley Arceneaux released Jude when Crew Dragon reached orbit — ears flopping in microgravity, the world knew they had made it to space.
Official replicas funded St. Jude; the mission helped raise over $240M for research and care. A symbol of resilience, generosity, and joy for those facing life’s hardest moments.
